Maplesoft has signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by Cybernet Systems Co., Ltd., a Tokyo-based major Japanese importer/distributor of CAE (computer aided engineering) software. By combining the skills of two leading-edge organizations, the intent is to drive further innovation in the development and promotion of advanced math and engineering software worldwide. The acquisition is expected to be completed at the beginning of September of this year.
