VHX-1000 digital microscope
Performance, productivity and user friendliness.
Keyence has positioned itself as the leader on the digital microscope market by providing not only the highest performance levels, but also and above all the most user-friendly, productive system. The VHX-1000 features a wide, high-resolution WUXGA LCD screen (1,920 x 1,200 pixels). Its wide viewing zone provides clear images for all viewing angles; this is also handy for simultaneous use by several persons. The user interface is located on the right of the screen.
It provides explanations concerning the procedures and functions, which enable even inexperienced users to make the most of its advanced functions.
A control console is supplied; by pressing buttons, users can access all the main controls: removing haloes, 3D composition, light shift or stabilization, HDR filters, image optimization. Manual or automatic adjustment of the lens position along the Z axis is also possible to obtain a clear focus. A motorized system and autofocus algorithms enable very fast location of the optimum lens position with a precision of a micron. The target can also be observed from all angles.
As a complement, the e-Preview mode can be used to observe the target under nine different types of lighting. This makes it much easier to determine the best lighting.
The VHX-1000 features another exclusive technical solution to provide faster, easier observation: real-time assembly of 2D & 3D images to meet needs for high-resolution images showing a wide field of vision. During a zoom, the VHX-1000 captures images of the adjoining zones of observation and reconstitutes them to provide a field of vision up to 50 times wider than classic systems. This function controls the 2D and 3D modes. The system is different from the classic method, which assembles images after obtaining a specified number of images with a motorized plate. When the user moves the field of vision with a manual plate, the zone is widened by real-time image assembly. The field of vision can be widened from the normal size (1,600 x 1,200 pixels) to a zone of up to 10,000 x 10,000 pixels, while maintaining a sharp image for the magnifying power used.
The performance levels are the highest on the market. The VHX-1000 enables observation at 54 Megapixels with the 3D composition. The 16-bit HDR processing system provides a very sharp image quality. It features 16-bit coding per pixel and a unique technology with a wide dynamic range that provides ideal image exposure (never too bright or too dark) whatever the part contrast. Lastly, the VHX-1000 enables display of the most subtle differences and the target's structure by coding a pixel with (2 to the power of 48) shades. This makes it possible to obtain high-precision images similar to those given by expensive scanning electron microscopes, but in colour and with a much faster and far more user-friendly observation mode.
