RF RC 10 radio switchgear with magnetic actuators
The advantages and features of the RF RC 10 switchgear are now also available in a non-contact magnetic switching device.
Although the RF RC 10 “Wireless Cube” position switch is still very new in the marketplace, it has already proved itself in a number of different applications. What they all have in common is the fact that the switching device is installed in badly accessible locations. The RF RC 10 is predestined to this type of use because, firstly, it is very compact and, secondly, it is very robust and, thirdly, it does not require a cable because the signal triggered by the actuator arrives at the receiver unit via wireless transmission.
These advantages and features are now also available in a non-contact switching device. steute has developed a new variant of the RF 10 which works on the basis of a magnetic switch. The sensor actuator is also compact and robust; a high sensing distance guarantees reliable use in all manner of applications. With regard to signal transmission, typical distances of 150 m outdoors and 30 m indoors can be achieved.
The powerful battery does not usually require changing over the entire lifespan of the device. And if it does have to be changed, the effort required is minimal as a conventional battery can be fitted using a simple tool. Maintenance is thus very low indeed.
In addition to its compact design and uncomplicated mounting, special features of this radio switch include its long lifespan and a high switching frequency of up to 1800 switching cycles per hour. These features make the “Wireless Cube” in both its variants – spring rod or magnetic sensor – the ideal switching device for badly accessible and tight installations in machines and plants within the field of industrial automation.
