Seco to exclusively provide the cutting tools for EUROSKILLS 2012
During the 4th - 6th October, the Spa-Francorchamps Racetrack in Belgium will host Europe’s largest skills competition – EUROSKILLS 2012 – the European Championships for the manual, technical and technological trades. A unique event with international reach, the competition sees 423 young Europeans from 23 countries competing in six major sectors.
In the Milling and CAD/CAM part of the competition, Seco will exclusively be providing the tools to support the young and skilled competitors from all over Europe. As a truly European event the milling and CAD/CAM competition has representatives from Belgium, Finland, Luxemburg, The Netherlands, UK, Spain, Portugal and Norway competing.
In three days, each candidate is required to machine, in a limited time frame, three components as specified by a committee of experts. Seco will provide the following array of cutting tools: Milling cutters (Quattromill®, Turbo and Minimaster®), holemaking tools (Perfomax®, solid drills and boring), reamers (Precimaster™), threading tools (Threadmaster™), solid end mills (Jabro™-Solid²) and tool holders (EPB).
