Control Techniques, an Emerson Industrial Automation-owned manufacturer of motion control technology, is today celebrating its 40th anniversary.

The company, which is headquartered in the UK, was originally founded as KTK on 4 October 1973. KTK became Control Techniques on 9 December 1975 and was acquired by Emerson (NYSE: EMR) on 30 November 1994.

Control Techniques has manufacturing and engineering and design centres in the UK, the US, France, China and India, as well as sales operations in over 100 countries. Currently, the company employs about 1,971 people.
