1000 STAGEMAKER SR motors for AED Group
The Prolight & Sound 2014 trade fair at a Frankfurt venue early April gave VERLINDE the opportunity to officially announce a contract for 1000 STAGEMAKER SR motors placed by AED Rent, a world leader for stage decoration equipment rentals. A gilded hoist with identification number 1001/1000 was symbolically handed over as a gift to Glenn ROGGEMAN, CEO of AED group.

AED group, based in Belgium with a workforce of 250, is the only equipment provider offering a comprehensive range of solutions for the media and audiovisual industry: short-term or FlexLease rentals (AED Rent), leasing (AED Lease), sale of new equipment (AED Distribution) together with the purchase and sale of second-hand standardized products (AED Second Hand) relating to sound, lighting, rigging and video (projectors, LED walls). AED group offers these solutions through its European subsidiaries.
Glenn ROGGEMAN, CEO of the AED group, points out: "we wanted a leading edge product familiar to our customers, a reference in the long-term, especially in respect of its already-observed compliance with future safety standards. That is exactly what the STAGEMAKER "SR" motor offers. At present, the standards of reference for safety "on the stage" are mainly German DIN standards D8, D8+ and C1.
The 1000 new motors will be partly used to replace the old SM series (2, 5 and 10) but will also meet the needs of AED Rent's growing rental business.
Boasting an entirely new ergonomic design, STAGEMAKER SR, the latest model in the STAGEMAKER offering, is the only model available on the market fitted with the CHAINFlux ® special chain guide, Perfect Push ® patented hoist load wheel, LIMIFlux magnetic proximity switch (on low voltage version), retractable handgrips and protective rubber pads. STAGEMAKER SR fits in well with all types of installation offering best-in-class safety and productivity.
