Technifor is completing its range of scribing machines with the introduction of the XF510Cr. Extremely compact and boasting multiple communication interfaces, it is the ideal solution for integrating on the production line, on turning platforms or on robot arms. Its compact size does not detract from its performance since the XF510Cr has the identical capacities of other models in the scribing range: noticeably quiet, it offers the best scribing speeds on the market and can combine DataMatrix codes. With its three models, XF510Cr, XF510Sr and XF510DR (with a marking field of 160mm x 50mm), Technifor continues to offer the most adaptable solution to all the industry’s scribing needs.
Starting January 1st 2009, Magnus Ekerot is the new Managing Director for Beijer Electronics Products AB. Conny Persson who held the post before him is retiring, leaving the company after 26 years.
This subcontractor of high, added value complex components now has a high capacity, precision machine capable of up to 100t, with dimensions of 10m x 6m and a precision of +/- 2/100mm on positioning.
Despite strong competition, Faiveley has won a contract to supply 489 braking systems to Datong Locomotives, for a value of over €60 million. Delivery will begin at the end of 2009 and will continue over the following three years. This project will require complex multi-site co-ordination between two local sites, Qingdao Faiveley SRI Rail Brake Co. Ltd. and Shijiazhuang Jiaxiang Precision Machinery Co. Ltd and three European sites, Amiens, Piassasco and Landskrona.
The Viper is a family of M12 ultra slim rugged Ethernet switches designed for applications with severe operating conditions and extreme environments. A MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) calculated to more than a 100 years, makes these units ideal for situations where mechanical stress, moisture, condensation, dirt or continuous vibrations could adversely affect the function of standard Ethernet switches.
In order to reduce the weight and to optimise information processing, the architecture of onboard electronic calculators has evolved from control units dedicated to a single function (integration of sensor signals, data fusion, image processing, etc.), to a multifunctional control unit. Connectors had to be adapted.
Alliander is a Dutch energy company that serves more than 2.5 million private and business customers in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Alliander’s subsidiary Liandon has chosen Westermo's DDW-221 and DDW-100 Ethernet extenders to be part of the regulation, real time monitoring, alarms and flow measurement system of Amsterdam's gas and energy distribution network. In total Alliander has installed 6 DDW-221s and 280 DDW-100s to upgrade its gas distribution system into a modern, SCADA controlled and monitored communication system.
This new control handle from Ingersoll Rand is intended for use in the easy handling of loads from 5 to 225kg. Used with Ingersoll Rand’s standard range of pneumatic load balancers, it is the only model on the market that is completely pneumatic, so doesn’t require any electric power supply. It gives the user an acute sense of control, with ergonomic positioning of the load, which allows increased productivity.
CIAT’s new air handling unit, Climaciat Air Compact, is only 40cm thick. This means it can easily be placed in very tight spaces – on either ceilings or walls. With pressures from 100 to 1000Pa, and airflow from 1500 to 6000 m3/h, the unit has hundreds of variants, made from standard components.
FREE COOLING is an optional module for AQUACIAT cooling units to reduce the consumption of energy in offices in the winter. Unlike previous solutions, FREE COOLING is totally integrated in the cooling unit and is delivered pre-configured and installed. Installers have simply to make a single electrical and hydraulic connection for the assembly. In relation to previous solutions, AQUACIAT FREE COOLING allows a gain of 25 to 40% of floor area. Intended for 185 to 485 kW AQUACIAT cooling units, it produces energy savings of 20 to 50% in relation to a conventional configuration with a single cooling unit.
