iQ+
The new iQ+ electronic monitoring and control system, developed specifically by Gravograph for its range of engraving machines, increases their speed by up to 50%. iQ+ also enables new functions to be provided, including secure control of additional accessories, the “Point n’Shoot” positioning aid and automatic integration of the latest Gravograph innovation for producing Braille in signage. iQ+ is fitted as standard to Gravograph’s M and IS series machines manufactured since March 2009.

ALTIC uses MEROBEL electromagnetic braking to control wire tension on its tensioners
High-speed coil winding requires the use of a tensioner between the feed coil and the receiving coil (end product). Fine control and the trend towards using larger-diameter wires to meet the high demand for electrical equipment such as transformers means that tension control solutions are required which offer high torque density as well as easy torque control. High Tech machines are not an option
With the new GGTronic, Italian OEM GIANA decided to position itself on the higher level of machine-tools technology. “It is the only way to survive” explains Giulio Maria Giana, the company manager and technical director. As this milling & turning equipment in one set solution for big mechanical parts, very high rigidity becomes obviously a crucial design feature. Positioning has also to be very precise, reaching values as low as ±0.01mm, with a repeated accuracy of ±0.005 mm.
