Industrial 3G routers MRD-310 and MRD-330

The new MRD-310 and MRD-330 are robust 3G routers designed for remote access across mobile networks. They provide a very high level of connectivity, and support many mobile standards including GSM, GPRS, 3G UMTS, HSDPA and HSUPA allowing uplink transfer rates of up to 2Mbit/s. Together with the rugged enclosure, DIN-rail mounting and an operating voltage range spanning from 10 VDC to 60 VDC, they are designed for industrial applications in harsh environments. Typical on board (train, trucks, etc.) or ground applications include video surveillance, SCADA/DNP3 telemetry systems and remote access to machines and devices.

Southco

KEYLESS ACCESS CONTROL – THE ULTIMATE SECURITY SOLUTION FOR PLANT EQUIPMENT

Owners of mobile plant equipment are plagued by theft, so must invest heavily to try and minimise this happening. However, the need for convenient access means that a single key code is often used for a number of vehicles – making a thief’s job easier. Around only 5% of stolen plant equipment is ever recovered so owners are keen to increase protection but without sacrificing flexibility. Engineered access solutions specialist Southco has an answer: it is working with equipment manufacturers to develop keyless entry systems – similar to the wireless keyfob used to open your car – that trigger an electro-mechanical latch. Each vehicle can then have a unique entry code, yet still be easily accessible to authorised people. As an added benefit, the locking mechanism can be incorporated within the vehicle, so there is no visible lock for a thief to target. Such systems could be designed directly into the machinery, rather than being added as a retrofit device.

CIAT

The CRISTOPIA thermal energy storage system has been selected for the UFIDA Software Park.

With its 25 years of experience in thermal energy storage systems, the CIAT Group, is currently the world leader in the sector. In particular, the Company installed the first Ice storage system in China in 1992, for Electro Building Shenzhen. The new UFIDA Software Park contract is one more reference to be added to the 2,000 CRISTOPIA systems in operation worldwide, including Kempinski luftansa center in Beijing and the Hong Kong Asia World Expo. More than 5,000 MWh of electrical energy are saved every day thanks to CRISTOPIA equipment. Its range of use from -33°C to +27°C and its energy efficiency levels of 20% higher than those of the other solutions on the market are among the major factors contributing to its success.
