EMCO GmbH

The EMCO Group

The success story of this Austrian company, which was founded over 60 years ago, started with the production of conventional lathes. EMCO, which in the meantime is part of the Kuhn Group, Austria-based heavy equipment distributor, has become one of Europe’s leading producers of machine tools and has production plants in Austria, Germany and Italy. The group of companies consists of an association of top European suppliers (EMCO, EMCO FAMUP, EMCO Magdeburg and EMCO MECOF) all of which come from the machine-tool industry. United under the common maxim of “Made in the Heart of Europe” they work on intelligent and innovative production solutions for the machining industry. With its extensive product portfolio, the EMCO Group is a respected and proven partner within the field of turning and milling.

Baumer

CleverLevel and FlexProgrammer make even complex level detection a breeze

Baumer’s CleverLevel series LBFS/LFFS switch stands out not only by its reliability. Used in conjunction with the optional configuration software "FlexProgrammer", CleverLevel offers a great potential for use in a wide range of applications. Even more complex tasks can be completed very easily, and frequency deviation technology extends CleverLevel's application areas far beyond simple filling level monitoring. As an "all-rounder" the CleverLevel detects different media (e.g. foam and liquid) as well as contaminants (e.g. oil on water) in the same tank. In addition, the level switch prevents pumps from running dry even in viscous or sticky media.

NORD Drivesystems

Reliable cleaning of New York’s iconic Beekman Tower ensured by NORD DRIVESYSTEMS

Developing a cleaning gondola to handle the undulating bays and folds of Manhattan’s Beekman Tower – designed by the prestigious architect Frank Gehry – was a challenge which has been successfully met by NORD DRIVESYSTEMS and the Spanish firm GinD. NORD supplied the geared motors and frequency inverters used in the gondola, working closely with GinD, a company specializing in the design, manufacture, and installation of custom systems for maintaining building façades.

NORD Drivesystems

Clean drive solutions for food technology, conveyors, and beyond: Lightweight, hygienic helical bevel gear units

For hygienically demanding applications, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS supplies aluminum two-stage helical bevel gear units in five sizes with a maximum torque of 660 Nm that are especially easy to clean. The washdown design is based on smooth inclined surfaces, transitions with large radii without dead spaces, and requires no assembly covers. Cleaning liquids wash off easily and completely from the surfaces, which also remain considerably cooler than those of conventional drives thanks to the special construction. The design is optimized, amongst others, for use in the food industry and complies with international guidelines and standards such as EHEDG, ANSI / BISSC, and ANSI / NSF. If required, the gear units can be fitted with double shaft seals. They can be ordered as open or closed frame versions with hollow or solid shafts.

More than 60 CIAT air handling units have been installed at the recently opened Louvre-Lens museum in northern France to filter the air and maintain humidity and temperature at optimum levels in the museum's galleries, storage rooms and restoration workshops.

RAYTEK

Ircon extends Modline 7 Series

New features for a wider range of industrial applications Berlin – RAYTEK is pleased to announce that the IRCON Modline 7 series has been extended with two new infrared thermometers and a new processor box. The new 7V line has been especially designed for the semiconductor industry, while the 75 series now comes with a new high temperature model dedicated to heat treating & annealing. With these completions, the Modline 7 series includes eight distinct thermometer lines for various application fields including glass manufacturing and forming, ultra-thin glass production, semiconductor processing, and industrial furnaces. The modularity of the Modline 7 series helps users reduce installation efforts, since the installation hardware and application software is identical for all sensors and each model features an extended measured temperature range, with the entire series covering a -40..+3,000 °C range. The common Windows ModView Pro software platform facilitates multiple product configurations. Users can set up and monitor sensors either via the rear panel of the sensor, the ModView Pro software included in delivery, or the new PROC-7 processor box. This optional self-contained control unit was designed to operate all Modline 7 sensors independent of ModView Pro software and enables remote sensor health check, for instance in hard-to-reach or hazardous locations.
